
RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond Ivy SC fought hard against VA Beach United FC, tallying a 1-1 draw on Saturday, June 13 at City Stadium. Richmond scored the first goal of the matchup in the 24th minute, but VA Beach managed to find the equalizer in the next frame.
The Ivy generated numerous opportunities in the first half, but VA Beach’s abrasive defense made it difficult to follow through. Jazmin Jackson’s early goal gave the Ivy the advantage at the break, but VA Beach found a goal of their own in the 65th minute. Emerson Moore nearly found the back of the net in stoppage time, but her shot flew above the target, leaving the matchup in a draw.
VA Beach was led by Sydney Miller who scored the equalizing goal.
