
RICHMOND, Va. – Goals from Emerson Moore and Maci Landel propelled Richmond Ivy SC to a convincing 3-1 victory over Annapolis Blues FC on Thursday evening at City Stadium. The Richmond Ivy returned home looking to build momentum and delivered a strong performance, recording 17 shots en route to the win.
Richmond struck early when Emerson Moore finished off a rebound in the opening five minutes to open the scoring. Annapolis found an equalizer midway through the first, but the Ivy regained control after the break, with Emerson netting her second goal of the night. Maci Landel added an insurance goal, finding the net off a corner in the 61st minute. Goalkeeper Logan Marks made six saves and the Ivy back line came up with several key stops throughout the match to help secure a 3-1 victory.
Annapolis Blues were led by Sophie Thibeault who scored their only goal of the night.
