
RICHMOND, Va. – Thanks to goals from Kenley Campbell and Kate Weyer, Richmond Ivy SC secured a 1-2 victory over VA Atlantic FC on Saturday at Powhatan Stadium. Richmond was able to combine effective defense and high-powered offense for what was their second win in as many games.
Richmond jumped out to a 1-0 lead moments into the second half as Campbell scored in the 46th minute. While VA Atlantic FC would respond in the 79th minute with a goal of their own, an 86th-minute screamer from Weyer at close distance would prove to be the difference maker.
