
RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond Ivy SC netted an early point in a hard-fought 1-1 draw against VA Atlantic FC on Saturday at City Stadium. Richmond controlled the ball for a majority of the first half, holding VA Atlantic FC to just two shots in the frame.
Richmond got on the board early after Taryn Chance found the back of the net in the 15th minute from a breakaway play. VA Atlantic gained more traction in the second half, tripling their goal attempts from the earlier frame. Lauren Hargrove made several tough saves before VA Atlantic netted a late equalizer in the 79th minute. With both competitors unable to find a winning goal, the evening concluded in a 1-1 draw.
VA Atlantic was led by Colleen Udoh who netted the equalizing goal.
